Entrepreneurs, along with representatives of universities, public authorities and civil society met in São Paulo
in December 2008 to develop a plan of action that will put into practice the 18 initiatives suggested in the Call for Action
(Call for Action), during the meeting held 20 and 21 November 2008 in São Paulo.
The Call for Action of São
Paulo is an additional sequence of the Global Forum Latin America (GFAL), held in June 2008 in Curitiba. The Global Forum
is a worldwide movement brought to Brazil by Sistema Fiep, with the support of academic and business communities to discuss
the role of education and business with a focus on sustainability. Among the initiatives turned into action plan are:

TEACHERS FOR SUSTAINABILITY

Change curriculum for teachers to include sustainability.
EMPLOYABILITY

.: Incentive for research in renewable
and clean sources.
COLLABORATIVE ENTREPRENEURSHIP
.: Training program for collaborative entrepreneurs.
POST-CONSUMER
RESPONSIBILITY
.: Creation of a law to encourage manufacturers to be responsible for post-consumer effects.
RETHINK
EDUCATION: Awareness and investment of teachers to rethink the training of the individual.
ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT
IN INSTITUTIONS: Implementation of environmental management systems in all public and private institutions.
